Financial Support

All of our full-time programmes are free for students under 19 years old.

We provide textbooks and some learning equipment to students which are to be used during your time at the College.

Some courses require students to purchase specialist equipment and materials. Don’t be put off applying though, as these will be available to you from the college at subsidised rates.

All students also receive £2.50 a day for a 'Free College Meal' breakfast, a snack, or a lunch. 

Travel to Learn Bursary

The Travel to Learn Bursary is available to students who meet all of the following conditions:

  • The student lives more than 3 miles from Haringey Sixth Form College.
  • The student must currently studying at Haringey Sixth Form College.
  • The student has enrolled on a full-time programme of study at Haringey Sixth Form College and is either on the first or second year of that programme, studied over consecutive years.
  • The student has applied for the bursary before the deadline.
  • The student has a minimum 95% level of attendance and punctuality.

Free digital device

Digital Device

Students without access to a digital device are invited to apply to college for one free of charge.

Terms and Conditions

The device will be loaned to students based on the following conditions.

  • Students must have a minimum 95% attendance
  • Students must maintain this level of attendance or the device maybe recalled
  • Outstanding behaviour and attitude is the expectation
  • Students should not be on any disciplinary warnings,

Students will have responsibility for the safety and security of the device, the device if lost or stolen cannot be replaced.

Other Bursaries

Discretionary Bursaries

This is a type of financial support provided by us to assist with your child’s education. Each child is entitled to £15 per week. This is based on any Government support the family home is given. All students at Haringey Sixth are encouraged to complete the form (Student Services will support) with the correct documentation and a current bank statement.

Vulnerable Bursaries

Any child that is either in foster care, receiving PIP (Personal Independence Payment), living semi-independently, or claiming Universal Credit are eligible to apply for this bursary. This is a payment of £1200 spread over 3 terms.
