An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate SEND Lead/SENDCO to join the Inclusion Team at Haringey Sixth Form College. Working alongside our new Director of Inclusion and CaLM (Curriculum and Learning Manager), you will contribute to a passionate SEND leadership team who are committed to improving the life chances of young people at Haringey Sixth Form College!
You will be working with young adults on foundation and mainstream programmes, overseeing the learning and support of students with SEND. These learners will have a range of special needs including ASC, MLD, SEMH, SLCN and physical disabilities, in addition to difficulties with English and maths.
This is a busy and varied role, with no two days being the same. Many of our amazing learners have come from local comprehensives and special schools and will have external services supporting them or their families. You will have the opportunity to contribute to young people's progress at all levels, including their social, emotional and language development.
You will be a committed and experienced SEND specialist, who has experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs on courses between Entry Level to Level 3. You will fully integrate yourself into the department and share our commitment to raising standards and improving the life chances of vulnerable young people. You will be an agile and capable leader with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with experience of leading a large and diverse team of teachers and support staff. You will have a sense of urgency and the ability to implement change efficiently and effectively. A great sense of humour and a team player are a must!

Basketball Coach
Haringey Sixth Form College are recruiting for a part time Basketball Coach starting 2nd December or asap.
The role is required Wednesday afternoon for agreed coaching during the week and initial payment for this role will be between £18 and £22 per hour.
This role will involve planning and delivering coaching sessions and activities for Basketball, and provide feedback on players performance, specifically their physical and technical skills.
You will aid in their development and provide high quality coaching to ensure that they improve their abilities. In your coaching role you will be instrumental in providing feedback for their mental attitude and discipline, to ensure that they have the correct mindset in place to succeed.
Located in Haringey, the college is easy to access by car and public transport from most areas of the city. There is an onsite car park that is free to use, and spaces are always available.
The college prides itself in providing excellent sporting provisions for students who are interested, and this role will be pivotal in ensuring that the college provide high quality basketball, in conjunction with the other sports they provide.
Haringey Sixth will also support your development through our fantastic CPD.
If you are successful in this role means you can be offered other roles at the College
To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:
- Have experience working within schools/colleges in the UK.
- Has experience coaching basketball
- Have a level 2 qualification in Basketball
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the full CV History
- Legal right to work in the UK
