#TeamHaringey6 - September 2022 round up so far...
News / 23 September
Our new term has started and what amazing weeks we have had so far.
We started our new term with freshers week which our students were looking forward to especially our new starters as they had never experienced this; loads of activities were put on for the week and that also included meeting some influential people that our students could ask many questions too.
Special thanks to our Enrichment Coordinator #CoachFranck and the Careers team for setting this all up.
Here are some highlights in the gallery below.
#TeamHaringey6 CEO also presented at his first assembly of the new term to Gladesmore school - we felt very welcomed and it was amazing to see how their Yr11s were so enthusiastic and asked loads of questions.
#DiscoverTheDifference
We also had a college fair at Mossbourne Community school; it was fantastic to see a great turn out of young learners enthusiastic about their future.
#H6Experience
Queen Mary University and Coventry University visited #H6 this week.
They came to work with our A-Level Year 2 and BTEC Level 3 Year 2 students to help them perfect their UCAS Personal Statements.
Nemesia from Coventry University delivered a presentation in our Lecture Theatre to students from Childcare, Applied Science, Sport, Forensic & Criminal Investigation, Criminology, Law & Psychology (CLP) as well as A-Level Psychology. The presentation was detailed in the way it broke down ‘how to write a good personal statement’ and gave the students an insight into what the universities are looking for in a good personal statement.
The students found the presentation very useful and they enjoyed asking questions at the end.

We are excited for our students as they take these steps in preparing for their new journey and we are happy to be going through this journey with them.
Good luck to all our final year students starting Higher Education in September 2023! We are here to support you all the way!!!
#TeamHaringey6 Level 2 Sport and L3 Year 1 and Year 2 Sport and Uniformed Protective Services had the Outdoor education company in for team building activities to encourage learners to foster positive relationship with one another to kick start the academic year.
Teacher Codi - stated ‘ Seeing our learners try something new is always a fun way to start the year, just having the learners outside and having time to have some fun which links to their core subjects. Some learners skated away and some took a fall but seeing them coach and support eachother was invaluable’
This all adds to #TeamHaringey6 students #H6Experience
#TeamHaringey6 students were invited to Haringey Council's Scrutiny Cafe at where they participated and discussed key issues to improve provisions within the community-their views were welcomed positively. What an amazing opportunity for our students.
#H6Experience
