Featured News / 31 January
Three weeks into January 2025 term and #TeamHaringey6 students and stuff are buzzing and excited about adding to their #H6Experience
We started the new term with VIP Applicant and Interview day with bookings of over 400 and as ever they were greeted by our #H6 Student Ambassadors.
Our CLP students had the opportunity to visit "Serial Killer: The Exhibition" in Waterloo. The experience captivated students as they delved into the history of infamous serial killers such as Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer, exploring the motivations behind their heinous acts. Engaging with interactive tools enhanced their learning, while the enactment of crime scenes provided a unique perspective on the subject matter. Students also viewed a variety of artifacts, including documents and drawings of notorious killers created by their peers. Additionally, the exhibition allowed students to investigate the psychological, historical, and cultural implications of serial killers. Through this immersive experience, they gained a deeper understanding of the complexities of criminal behaviour, the workings of the criminal justice system, and society's enduring fascination with true crime.
Science Club as part of H6Experience is still going and we love to see our future #Stemettes #Scientists and #FutureLeaders at work – special thanks to Crystal, Carmen, Maxine, Everton and Shirley-Anne for their support; we also had our Year 12 A-level Biologists making their own cell models. #Amazing
Our #TeamHaringey6 UAL Level 3 Year 2 visited Metropolitan university for a tour and a workshop in riso printing. Thank for having us!
#TeamHaringey6 hosted the North London Primary Schools' Football Cup and awards ceremony on Tuesday 21st January.
Spanish International and Tottenham Hotspur star player Pedro Porro was the special guest on the day. He watched the final of the tournament, before presenting the awards and trophies from the tournament.
Mulberry, Brook House, Lancasterian, Lee Valley, St Ignatius, Bruce Grove Primary Schools all competed for the trophy with Lancasterian Primary School winning a fantastic final 3-1.
As part of the event, former Haringey 6th Form student Isam Belmoudden was presented with an outstanding achievement award trophy following the completion of his degree at Loughborough.
We also held a ‘Re-Freshers fair’ similar to a Freshers fair where we told students about the different #H6Experience activities both sporting and non-sporting we are running - and it was also amazing to see students contributing and coming up with ideas to run their own clubs which we will fully support - special thanks to our guests Sister system, London Ambulance service and Carler who joined us in telling our students about the different opportunities they had for them.
We also had midwives from Whittington hospital deliver a workshop for our Health and Social Care students #Facinating
