#TeamHaringey6 meets Michael Rosen

Today #TeamHaringey6 had the honour of welcoming Michael Rosen an English children's author, poet, presenter, political columnist, broadcaster, activist, and academic, who is a professor of children's literature in the Department of Educational Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London.

#H6 was asked to host this event for around 1300 children from our local primary schools as they all wanted to see Michael Rosen read and perform some of his most notable books to them - and as you can tell from the photos they were all beaming with excitement as well as some of our staff members and current students who grew up reading some of his books - The primary schools that were in attendance were #DevonshireHillPrimary #Lancasterian #Brookhouse #Risley #LeaValleyPrimarySchool #StFrancisDeSalesTottenham 

Our students even had their moments of being star struck and tears were flowing when they met the author they have grown up with - a student said

It was truly amazing and inspiring to see him and hear him in the flesh speak about why he became an author
