#TeamHaringey6 ICT students visit College of Esports Trip

This week out #TeamHaringey6 Level 2 and Level 3 Year 1 ICT students visited the College of Esports. The world’s first university-level institution dedicated to esports and gaming. The College of Esports teaches business degrees through the lens of esports and gaming. Their courses are delivered by esports industry experts using state of the art facilities within the Lee Valley VeloPark at the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.

Our students had a tour of the campus and participated in workshops led by lecturers and industry professional based at the College of Esports. They also had the opportunity to practice their Esports skills using the modern gaming computers that are set up and used for competitive gaming within the campus. Our learners commented on how much fun the day was whilst being surprised and encouraged by the opportunities that exist within Esports in higher education.

The emerging world of Esports is one of the fast-growing global industries. #H6 is planning to deliver an exciting new vocational course in Esports at Level 3 for the 2024/25 academic year.

We will continue to develop a strategic partnership with the College of Esports to ensure our future leaners receive HE and industry insight on H6 courses whilst developing clear pathways of progression into higher education, competitive gaming and the world of work.
