#TeamHaringey6 - 3rd week of June 2023 round up!
News / 23 June
#TeamHaringey6 started the week with our Level 3 Year 2 Business students visiting the London Metropolitan University to have a day of activities which provided them with an insight into their Business courses. #Amazing
#TeamHaringey6 had a full week of Graduations where we acknowledged and celebrated our first years and leavers we are so proud of them and what they have achieved and continue to achieve as they either begin new chapters here and elsewhere; whether they are going on to higher education, apprenticeships or employment we are very #H6Proud of them; below are highlights from each of them
On Monday we had our A1’s and BTEC Applied Science and Forensic and Criminal Investigation we celebrated their achievements in the Lecture Theatre.
Wednesday's graduations celebrated Health and Social Care, CACHE and Criminology, Psychology and Law we also had a few singing performances from our last year Health And Social Care student Evan and Delano as well as our first year CPL students.
Thursday's graduations celebrated Sport, Business, Uniformed Protective Services, Public Services, ICT, Employability – we had a student that showcased their entrepreneurial skills with a mural they designed where students are able to write words of kindness, support & positivity’ as part of this.
We had a double graduation on Friday which started with our Entry and Foundation students where we celebrated their attendance and we wished farewell to our leavers who are embarking on their new journey in another institution – our students also did some performances which involved using Makaton.
Our final graduations was for Creative industries this consisted of an art show, film festival and magazine launch it was amazing to see the hard work that staff and students put into this to make it work and we were happy to see the many parents and carers that turned up to support this – it is always great to see the can do/will do attitudes of staff and students especially when it comes to being supportive of each other this is why we are #TeamHaringey6
In honour of Windrush Day – Thursday 22nd June
Haringey Sixth Form College Celebrated the UK’s DNA - Contribution and achievements of the Windrush generation and their descendants.
Thank you to all those who got involved with wearing bright colours and repping your flag for Windrush day – not only was it a day to honour those who arrived as passengers of the Empire Windrush in the UK. The day celebrated the contribution and achievements of the Windrush generation and their descendants; as they helped to rebuild the country after the Second World War.
#Windrush75 #H6Experience
This week has been #Amazing as our students continue to #DiscoverTheDifference and enjoy the #H6Experience looking forward to next week for more learning, new activities and fun stuff as we are #MoreThanACollege
