Three #TeamHaringey6 students have gained the following award...

Congratulations to our Jack Petchey Foundation Award winners who have been recognised as #OutstandingAchievers - It goes without saying, they thoroughly deserved these awards and we are very #H6Proud of them all.

Here is what their tutors had to say about them each:

Ashwin

Ashwin a professional cookery student has shown a superb attitude to help get badminton club going. A popular student Ashwin has been able to get lots of students from across the college involved in playing the game. 30-35 students now regularly attend.

Ashwin is the best player in the college in Badminton, but despite this, shows great humility. He is always keen to help others, by helping to coach and encourage everyone.

Ashwin has made an extremely positive start to his time at college. He has excelled on his BTEC Catering course, and has also played a key role in leading the cricket club each Friday.

Felicia

I have nominated Felicia  for being a positive role model since starting #H6.

Felicia is always well mannered and polite in every interaction within the sports department and has an outstanding and consistent quality of work that she has demonstrated across her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports and has a 100% completion rate. Felicia has dedicated time when off college to ensuring that she remained caught up with work and remained a role model in her class for her commitment to the course. Felicia is the first to face uncomfortable situations and deal with them maturely. Felicia is an exemplar student in the sports department.

JP 2

Diego

Diego has demonstrated commitment to the sports course for the last 3 years as he started as a level 2 sports student. Throughout the last 3 years, Diego has a near- perfect attendance and punctuality percentage.

Diego has recently presented a outstanding piece of work independently in Dragons Den showcase, with the judges of Lisa and Dan crowning him the winner for the business that was created by himself and Daniel Hasstrup.

Diego provides support throughout the lessons to his peers and is someone that his class friends can rely upon. Diego is predicted to finish the course with grades higher than his TMG 's as he has excelled all of his target grades that were given.
