On academic courses there is a strong emphasis on preparing you for university through developing higher level skills in critical analysis, interpretation and evaluation. If you study humanities or social science, career opportunities are wide ranging and include: the legal profession, the civil service, careers in psychology, working for local government, work in education, human resources management, environmental work, journalism, media work, public relations, social work and so on.

We also have a one-year Social Sciences Pathway course, if you are still working at level 2 but have a strong interest in progressing to AS levels the following year.
